How the free 25-minute trial works
A tutor can look ideal on a profile and still not click with the learner. Twenty-five minutes together is usually enough to know.
What the trial is
A new tutor can offer a first 25-minute lesson that is free when attended. It’s a real lesson, not a sales call — you meet the tutor, talk about what you need, and get a feel for how they teach.
- 25 minutes, one-on-one, online
- With a tutor you haven’t had lessons with before
- Free when the lesson is attended
Why a card may be required
A card may be required to reserve your time, even though the trial itself is free when attended. Tutors set aside a specific slot for you, and holding a card keeps those slots meaningful.
The trial is free when attended. Late-cancellation or no-show fees may apply. Please review the policy shown during booking.
Booking a trial
- Find a tutor by subject, level, availability, and lesson price.
- Open their profile and pick a time. Availability is shown in your local timezone.
- Confirm. Your trial appears in your upcoming lessons.
After the trial
If the tutor is a good fit, you can book individual lessons, set up recurring lessons, or choose a lesson plan where one is offered. If not, you can choose another tutor.
