Create your account, then build your profile — your subjects and levels, your experience, your prices and your availability. A member of our team reviews every application before the profile goes live, and we’ll email you when the review is complete.
Who can become a tutor?
College and graduate students, current and former teachers, subject experts, and professionals with strong academic or practical knowledge. What matters is that you know your subject well and can explain it clearly.
How do I set my lesson price?
You do, for every lesson length you offer. Set the prices on your profile and change them whenever you like — learners see the applicable price before they book.
Can college students tutor?
Yes. College and university students can apply to tutor subjects they know well. Your tutor profile shows your background and teaching areas so learners and families know who they’re booking.
When and how do I get paid?
Lessons are booked and paid for through Mentoryn. Payment and earnings information for your lessons is available in your tutor account, along with the details that apply to you.
What equipment do I need?
A computer with a working camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. The classroom runs in your browser, so there’s nothing to install. A headset and a quiet room help.
Is there a fee to join?
No. Applying and listing your profile is free.
What levels can I teach?
The ones you choose. Elementary, middle and high school, test prep, and college-level learners where appropriate — you select the levels on your profile and can change them later.
