Building your tutor profile
Your profile is what learners compare when they choose. It’s the most valuable thing you’ll write on Mentoryn.
What learners look for
- Do they teach my exact subject at my exact level?
- What would a lesson with them be like?
- Can I afford this, at the frequency I need?
- Do they have times that fit my week?
Answer those four and your profile is doing its job.
Writing about how you teach
Be concrete. “I start by having students explain the problem back to me, so we find the exact step where it breaks” tells a parent far more than “patient and passionate”.
Write for the person deciding. For K–12 that’s often a parent reading with their child.
