Setting your lesson prices
Set your lesson prices and keep them up to date. Learners see the applicable price before booking.
Price by length
Lessons commonly come in 25, 50, and 80 minutes. Price each one for the work it involves — an 80-minute session is usually more than twice a 25-minute one in preparation as well as time.
Setting a first price
- Look at what tutors with comparable experience charge in your subject
- Consider the level — university and professional work usually price higher than early grades
- Pick something you’d be happy to teach at repeatedly
Prices are visible on your profile before a learner books, so they’re part of how you’re compared.
Changing later
You can adjust your prices. Give existing regular students notice as a courtesy — they’re budgeting around you.
